The course outline

This programme will equip scholars with the skills and confidence to undertake a substantial, original research project with full ownership of findings.

Foundation Module

This module has been designed to prepare you for studies at level 7. Content aims to develop digital literacy of the programme platforms and build positive habits for independent study.

Research Methods

This module helps to develop critical knowledge of a range of research methods as well as understanding of research ethics.

Project Proposal

During this module you are supported to select a focus for your research and develop an in depth understanding of their chosen specialist area in education.

Research Project

For this module you will write and present your research paper for submission for public consideration and create a press release summarising its findings for the wider education community.

The Experience

Prior to Covid-19 the NCE has always focused on selecting venues to ensure that our learners will feel relaxed as they are removed from the daily demands placed upon them. The environment brings the time and space to absorb, reflect and fully digest the extensive content delivered throughout. During the past year we have strived to create engaging online events that deliver as much of the same approach as possible. As the situation develops we will aim to get back to meeting in our exceptional venues and delivering for our learners.
